We answer your queries

In order to meet your requirements regarding our writing instruments, we need the artwork of the images to be printed. A digital file of your artwork allows the fastest processing and produces the best results. We can also process films or material in a printed format. Facsimiles and photocopies are not suitable for printing purposes.

DIGITAL ARTWORK   VECTOR FILES

· Adobe Illustrator (.ai)· Freehand (.fh)· Coreldraw (.cdr)· InDesign (.indd)· or .eps and .pdf formats generated by these programs. Please do not forget to provide any notes concerning photographs, pictures and fonts.

BITMAP FILES

· .bmp, .tiff, .jpg or .gif· formats  Minimum resolution 1:1: 1,200 dpi for lines and texts · Minimum resolution 1:1: 300 dpi for photos (CMYK) and screened logos

FILMS

· Format 1:1· Please specify the colour on each film.

PRINTED MATERIAL

· Format 1:2· Laser prints, minimum resolution 600 dpi

TEMPLATES CS, PS2

Upon request, we would be happy to provide you with the respective digital template (.pdf, .eps) for each of the above products. Your graphic designer or agency needs these templates to design the layout.

DESIGN SUGGESTIONS/LAYOUTS CS, PS2

If you do not work with a graphic designer or agency, please do not hesitate to contact us. For a fee, our graphic artists will design the above products for you – in line with your ideas. In addition to a short written briefing to describe us your ideas, we also need to ask you for the digital artwork in the best possible quality (see above).

FACSIMILES AND PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PRINTING PURPOSES.

As far as this is feasible, we print every colour within the Pantone (“C” colour), HKS (“K” colours) and RAL ranges. Please always specify the colour (reference number for one of the colour scales mentioned above) required in each position in the artwork. Please note that we do not process fluorescent or metallic colours (except gold, silver and bronze).

Fonts should always be vector files (PATH). We generally recommend font sizes starting from 4 pt. The maximum character size depends on the printable area available on the chosen writing instrument.

FONT SIZE CS8 BLOCK PLUS / RING PLUS / SOFT COVER / POCKET PLUS AND PS2

The colour of a letter is the result of the overlapping of two or more colours via four-colour processing. Very small or fine letters (< 6 points) may cause problems in readability.

STROKE WEIGHT

The minimum stroke weight and line distance depend on what is technically possible and legible: - stroke weight: ≥ 0.1 mm- line distance: ≥ 0.1 mm

As soon as we have received your printing details, we will send you an e-mail showing colours, position and print size. Please check all information thoroughly. If you are satisfied with the result, please send us your wriiten approval of the production proof. Once we have received this approval we will start production.

If you would like to make changes, please list them on the proof form we forwarded to you. Please also make sure that corrections are legible. Prior to printing, we will send you another e-mail containing the modifications. Once again, you are kindly asked to check the proof and send us your written approval. The sooner we receive your final instuction, the sooner we can finish your products.
